Kate Parker — founder of House of Reawaken

I believe that self-knowledge is a form of intelligence in its own right. Like any form of intelligence, it can be intentionally developed.

We call that Personal Intelligence.

For many years, my work took many forms — education, coaching, writing and reflection. Looking back, I can see they were all exploring the same question.

What becomes possible when a person truly understands themselves?

That question has quietly shaped my life's work.

For more than a decade, I have worked in adult education, helping people learn, grow, and navigate change. Alongside that work I built a coaching practice supporting women through some of life's most significant transitions, while continuing to create journals, programmes, frameworks, reflections, podcasts and writing.

At the time, each project felt different. Looking back, I can see they were all converging on the same thought landscape.

How do we help people understand themselves more deeply so they can live with greater clarity, agency and meaning?

That exploration eventually led me somewhere I hadn't expected.

Not simply to another programme or another business.

But to a field of work I now describe as Personal Intelligence.

Personal Intelligence explores how people develop greater self-understanding through reflection, recognition and thoughtful technology. It is both a philosophy and an emerging field of inquiry — one I believe will become increasingly important as artificial intelligence becomes part of everyday life.

House of Reawaken is the home of that work.

It brings together writing, reflection, learning, thoughtful technology, and future research around one central belief:

Agency begins with self-knowledge.

Everything within the House exists to support that belief.

Midlife Renaissance became the first practical expression of this philosophy.

Rather than simply helping women record their thoughts, it was designed to recognise patterns of growth, identity, and development over time.

It represents the beginning of a much larger journey exploring how Personal Intelligence can support human flourishing through recognition rather than judgement.

Today, House of Reawaken continues to grow as both a creative home and an intellectual one.

It is a place where ideas are explored, learning is shared, reflective practice is nurtured, and meaningful conversations begin.

Together they form a contemporary House dedicated to helping people understand themselves more deeply — and live with greater clarity, agency and meaning.

Whether you spend five minutes here or return for years, my hope is the same.

That you leave with a deeper understanding of yourself — and a greater sense of what becomes possible because of it.

Welcome to the House.
